Pipes, Lists and Dates

Find these under Building Blocks in the sidebar. Make them once and use them in any snippet.

Pipes

A pipe changes a value before it’s inserted. Add it after | in any token, and chain as many as you like.

{text name="Title" | lower | trim | kebab} {clipboard | json-pretty} {selection | ai:"Proofread"}
KindPipes
Caseupper, lower, title, sentence, camel, pascal, snake, kebab, constant
Linestrim, sort-lines, dedupe-lines, remove-empty-lines, join-lines (or join-lines:", "), reverse
Textstrip-diacritics (café → cafe), ordinal (3 → 3rd)
Replaceregex pattern="\s+" replace=" ", map:"Open=OPN, Closed=CLS"
Encodingjson-pretty, json-minify, json-string, base64, base64-decode, url-encode, url-decode
AIai:"Proofread" (any AI action) or ai prompt="Make it shorter"

To save a chain under a short name, open Pipes, click +, name it slug and set it to lower | trim | kebab. Then use {text name="Title" | slug}.

Lists

A list holds items you reuse, like countries or product names. The fill-in form shows a searchable picker.

Shipping to {list name="Countries"}

Open Lists, click New List, and pick a source: items you paste in (one per line), a CSV or JSON file, or a shell command where each line of output is an item.

You can also select lines in any app and choose Add to List in the action menu.

Use each item once

Turn on Use Each Item Once for promo codes, license keys or invite links. Typefu takes the next unused item and marks it used, so you never hand one out twice.

Here's your code: {list name="Promo" take=1}
  • The item is held while the form is open. Cancel, and it goes back.
  • Select a used item and click Mark Unused to put it back.

Date formats

Open Date Formats, click +, name it Invoice and set a pattern like d MMM yyyy. Then use {date format="Invoice"}. The editor shows a live sample and the pattern symbols.
